WHY SOY WAX?
- Soy wax is derived from soy beans (it’s basically a vegetable :p). Most other household candles are made with Paraffin wax which is derived from a refined gasoline product.
- Soy wax is a natural, renewable source.
- It is biodegradable and cleans with soap and warm water (no more hard to clean messes if you have a little spill).
- Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax so your candles will burn a lot longer.
WHY DOES MY CANDLE LOOK SPOTTY?
If you notice a gap between the wax and the glass, or speckles on the edge of the candle, you’re seeing what’s known as “frosting”. This is normal in soy wax and it is usually an indicator that the wax is 100% soy and not a parasoy blend. Frosting can occur when candles are exposed to extreme temperature changes during shipment and is typically only visible on candles that contain dyes. LIT by Sonshine Bath will never send out candles with major frosting (unless you purchase an imperfect candle or a mystery box) but we have no control over what happens in transit. Frosting will NOT affect the way your candles burn.
CAN I RUSH MY ORDER?
Yes, please select “express shipping” at checkout. Orders placed before noon will ship the same day and orders placed after 12:00pm will ship the following business day and arrive within 1-3 business days.
DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM PRODUCTS?
Currently, we offer custom candles, body butter and lip balm. You must order a minimum of 50 units in order to have it customized. To inquire further, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
HOW COME MY PROMO CODE WON’T WORK?
Sonshine Bath only allows one discount code per order so if you’re trying to combine discounts (free shipping and 10% off), it won’t work. We also only allow each code to be used once per customer so if you’ve used it before, it won’t work. Discount codes will not work on bundles or already discounted items.
HOW LONG WILL MY CANDLES BURN?
Our candles burn for 50-60 hours when burned in 3-4 hour increments. Be sure to keep your wick trimmed and try not to exceed burning you candles in increments greater than 4 hours.
IS THERE A RIGHT WAY TO BURN MY CANDLES?
Be sure to keep your wick trimmed or 1/4” before lighting. Make sure that the melt pool reaches the edge of the jar before extinguishing or your candle may not burn evenly the next time you light it. Keep candles away from children, pets, or anything that flammable. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CANDLE BURNING UNATTENDED.
HOW FRAGRANT ARE YOUR CANDLES?
We use the maximum fragrance allowed in soy wax. Our 12 oz candles can fill a room up to 500 square feet, but it is best used in a space that isn’t too open (kitchen, dining room, bedroom, bathroom).
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T RECEIVE MY PACKAGE?
Sometimes, USPS will mistakingly mark a package as delivered prior to delivery. If your package says it was delivered but you haven’t received it, please allow an additional 3-5 business days for delivery. If on the 5th day, your package still hasn’t arrived, email us at email@example.com and we will get it resolved.
If your address was entered incorrectly or your package was sent to an old address because you did not update your address in the system and it is returned to us, you will be responsible for the $8.50 reshipment fee. We will invoice you for the cost of shipping and once the invoice is paid, your order will be sent out. If you choose to be refunded rather than have your order resent, you will be refund for the cost of your items only. We cannot refund shipping cost on a returned package.
If your shipping info is incorrect and your package is not returned to us for any reason, you will be responsible for paying the full replacement cost plus shipping if you choose to have a replacement sent. We cannot offer refunds or free replacements on orders with address errors that were not returned to us.
